About Us

Our Mission

is to foster genuine connection and community, starting with the Seniors in Barron Park.

More about BPSC

  • In 2019, one of our esteemed Barron Park community members, Peter Mueller, handed the responsibility of “senior group lunch organizer” to Vivek Punn. After a few meetings with the seniors in the community, Vivek was inspired to continue to provide new opportunities to strengthen and foster connections amongst the group.

  • Vivek Punn is currently a Senior (12th grader) at Khan Lab High School in Mountain View, California. He dreams of a society where people come first, where communities come together to bond and truly listen to one another.

A few months after he began Barron Park Senior Connections, the Covid 19 pandemic struck. BPSC quickly transitioned to provide a way for Seniors to request support – everything from help getting groceries and supplies, to setting up zoom along with providing technical support on how to use technology to stay virtually connected.

As the pandemic subsides, BPSC plans on having in person events and continuing to find ways for the Seniors of our community to come together.

  • Along with social events, BPSC is also here to offer support.

    We have helped Seniors:

    • tech support (ie. how to load/use Zoom) so you can stay connected with family/friends

    • online grocery ordering

    • carrying packages

    • car washes; other day to day needs.

  • BPSC is grateful for the continual support from the Barron Park Association board, whose grant money has allowed this project to turn into a larger service for more people. Also we are grateful to Peace First, the first organization to believe in the mission of BPSC and provided the initial funding for our first few events.
